From the Pastor’s Desk MARCH 2010

In Jesus mighty name, I welcome you to the month of March and my prayer is that you will march gallantly to victory and abundance in every area of your life this month. Permit me to also use this opportunity to congratulate all those who participated fully or partially in the prayer and fasting of February.

My prayer is that all good things that we had lost would be restored back to us by the Great Restorer in Jesus mighty name. As we know, February prayer and fasting has now become an annual event in the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, and it is the month we rededicate ourselves individually and collectively to our God.Now that the prayer and fasting is over and we have rededicated our lives to our Father and His kingdom work, I am confident that our desired changes will come speedily and we will attain that desired height even sooner than we had thought. So, I say to you dearly beloved, prepare for greatness. However, changes don’t just happen, one important thing you must do and which must form an integral part of your preparation is to do a re-examination of yourself. Re-examine your life style because the truth is that some life-styles will not take you up but down. What is your attitude to life, what is your conduct and general character like? Is the mind of Christ formed in you? What are your motives and purposes, do they align with God’s? Have you re-examined your spiritual life generally and your prayer life in particular? Is it up to scratch? What type of relationships do you keep? Who are your friends? What are your plans and what projects do you have scheduled for the future. Does God have a place in all your plans? Beloved, there must be a thorough and timely re-examination and thorough soul search.

Listen friend, an appropriate and timely re-examination should guarantee success and provide a steady platform to experience the change you want. Fasting and praying, as good as they are, will not stop the forces against us from trying to pull us down again. It is important to deal with the little foxes that spoil the vine. It could be common things like self-deceit; self pity, laziness; carelessness; disorderliness; planlessness and generally being disorganised and it could be big things like sin of pride, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, disobedience, witchcraft and idolatry etc. As we march on in 2010, identify and deal with stuff that you have to and I can assure you that your upward movement will be unstoppable.

I cannot end this piece without thanking God for blessing us with another baby in February. The baby boy- Jeremy and his mother- Christianah are doing great. We also thank God for the Power and Freedom Night of February. This programme which holds from 5pm-7pm on the last Sunday of every month is understandably growing increasingly popular. It is geared to meet the healing and deliverance needs of the people. This month promises to be the best so far as a Prophet of God will be anchoring the programme. In the meantime on Saturday the 20^th of March, between 12 noon and 2:00pm, the women’s fellowship in the church will be hosting their first programme which theme is: Recovering Stolen treasures. These programs are put together for your good and benefit; as you attend be assured that God’s blessings to propel you and take you to great heights will be released to you in Jesus name.
